2013 Season Has Begun...

A lot has happened over the winter...
First, one of the best karting tracks in the country has opened in Mooresville, NC which is only 15 minutes from my house - The Mooresville Motorplex. We have a garage at the track and I'm looking forward to being able to practice and race a lot more than I have in the past.
So far, I have raced in two MMX Karting Challenge races and won them both... there was nobody else racing at the same weight and rules and me but I still came home with first place trophies.
I also ran the WKA National event at Kershaw, SC on April 6-7. There were about 26 entries in the Rookie class on both Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, I had a tough weekend and did not finish very well either day. My mom and I felt like we had the right setup for the final on Sunday but a tie rod was left loose so I went slower as the race went on.
The next event will be the United States Pro Kart Series event at the Mooresville Motorplex on April 27-28. I am looking forward to racing at my home track with this new series.
